Irvington is a historic neighborhood in northeast Portland and is, not so coincidentally, where we live. These pictures were all taken around Irvington during the days when we got the heaviest snows.

I’m Dreaming of a White 3 Days Before Christmas

Irvington Graffiti
It snowed pretty hard so I went out to re-photograph my favorite stop sign with its subtle political slogan. I’ll let you guess whether our neighborhood leans to the left or the right.

Change
Our neighborhood leans to the left, which you might have noticed from the stop sign pictures. So I wasn’t surprised to see a number of Obama signs in the run up to the Presidential election, but a number people have kept the signs up almost two months later.
Mother nature added her own change this winter, dumping unusual amounts of snow in the run up to Christmas. |

Now That’s a Winning Smile!
While walking through our neighborhood I caught this sea creature frolicking in the snow.
