Japan Galleries

A business trip to Japan was my second visit outside of the United States, having visited China the previous year. I regretted only bringing a little point and shoot for my trip to China, so for this trip I brought along my SLR's and a couple of zoom lenses. All of these pictures are from Tokyo, the only city in Japan I visited. I didn't have much free time for taking pictures but had a great time everywhere I went.

The Imperial Palace is the residence of Japan's emperor.
The East Garden is a part of the same complex that houses the Imperial Palace. There is no entrance fee and it's a lovely and peaceful place to spend the afternoon.
Ueno Park is famous for its boisterous cherry blossom celebrations, but the trees were still a few days away from blooming when I visited. It proved to be a good place to watch both people and wildlife.
Pictures from in or around Shinagawa Station, a train station for not only Tokyo's subway lines but also the Shinkansen, Japan's famous bullet train.
