American Pika Galleries

Pikas are generally found at high altitudes, although they also live near sea level in the Columbia River Gorge. I never get tired of seeing and hearing these delightful little creatures on the talus slopes beside the trails.

	A Pika in Sunrise These pictures were not only all taken in the Sunrise section of Mount Rainier National Park, they are all of a single accommodating pika near the trailhead of the Palisades Lakes Trail.
	Pikas Elsewhere These pictures are from three of my favorite places to photograph pikas: Mount Rainier National Park, Grand Teton National Park, and Yellowstone National Park.
