Where The Wild Things Are
A bison takes a dust bath just after sunset in a wallow along the Storm Point Trail. This is one of those times where I really wish I had a video camera with me, partially to record the low grunts that the bison were making to each other as they walked across the field, and partially to better capture the power of such a large creature rolling around in the dirt.
The title of this picture is a reference to one of my favorite books when I was a child; the buffalo's head in this position reminds me of some of the creatures in the book.
